MP Matt Western commends Aeristech on visit
MP Matt Western commends Aeristech's Engineering Innovation and Community impact during return visit
Aeristech had the honour of hosting Matt Western MP for Warwick & Leamington Spa on Wednesday 21st August. This is a return visit for Mr Western who attended the Aeristech opening ceremony in 2019. Clem Silverman, Stakeholder Engagement Lead from 'Advanced Propulsion Centre UK also attended.
The visit marks a significant recognition of our contribution and achievements in the engineering sector and provided an opportunity to discuss our next steps and the critical issues affecting our community and industry.
During the visit, Mr Western and Mr Silverman were provided a short tour of the facilities and met with staff, who provided an overview of our tailored consultancy services and innovative products. As well as being impressed with seeing the development of the site from the previous visit 5 years ago, the MP was interested to see our high-speed electric motors and oil-free compressors, which are suitable for use in Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems.
Furthermore, Mr Western was very interested in hearing about how our patented technology has contributed to the successes of collaborative projects which we have undertaken with leading industry organisations. Mr Silverman enjoyed visiting the facility and was impressed to hear of the advancements made in innovative engineering projects.
Mr Western learned about Aeristech's partnership with the University of Warwick and their Electro-mechanical Degree Apprenticeship programme, through which we are offering placements for two students commencing this autumn. Aeristech sees this as a real opportunity to develop our own talent, as well as making a positive contribution to the community.
"We are thrilled to have welcomed Matt Western and Clem Silverman to our facilities today," comments Richard Wall, Chairman at Aeristech." Mr Western’s return visit recognises Aeristech's progress and our dedication to designing solutions that help drive the global transition to a low-carbon future. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our vision and challenges with Government."
Following the visit Mr. Western commented, “It was great to be back at Aeristech to see how much they have grown over the last five years.
I really valued the opportunity to meet with the team and hear more about the innovative projects they have been working on. I was particularly impressed by the partnership with the University of Warwick to offer placements for two students and foster talent locally.
I'm proud to have a company doing such important, global-leading work at the heart of the constituency and look forward to seeing how they continue to progress.”
