The Society of Automotive Engineers: World Congress event is said to bring together the best talent the world’s automotive industry has to offer.
The Congress was held at the Cobo Center in Detroit on the 12th to the 14th of April. The event typically accommodates over 10,000 executives, management teams, engineers and experts from across the globe. Aeristech took full advantage of the opportunity by sending our CEO, Richard Wall, to walk the floor and support our collaborators at Mahle with the presentation of a paper entitled ‘A Heavily Downsized Gasoline Demonstrator Vehicle’.
The paper brings the world up-to-date with the current developments from our groundbreaking Extreme Downsizing demonstrator vehicle with a 1.2l 3-Cylinder gasoline engine that develops 259hp and 320Nm of torque right from the get-go. The main appeal of the engine being that it uses significantly less fuel and, by extension, produces significantly less toxic emissions than a modern engine of equal power and torque.
The event was one of many that Aeristech will be attending this year. Keep your eyes peeled as we will be updating our Events page shortly.
